Insurance supports labor integration

This time, the insurance news concerns Mapfre , which decided to lower premiums by 75 euros for more than millions of customers. This initiative was very well received by a large part of the Spanish population, as it is a good way to alleviate the financial problems they are facing. In this regard, it should be noted that the measure is not part of any commercial offer, but rather the proposal the company has submitted to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) to put an end to demutualization.

To date, only 3.3 million people have requested their money. This means that there are still more than two million people who have not received any information four years after the corporate transformation, yet to satisfy the rights of former mutual members. In this regard, the institution proposed compensating them with a €74.52 discount on some of its policies.

Several people close to Mapfre indicated that if the AEPD approves, the Mapfre Familiar database could be used to identify former mutual insurance members who remain clients and have not yet received the money they are owed. In this sense, the discounts would apply to any of the insurance lines under this unit.

Furthermore, any money that remains unclaimed will be transferred to the Mapfre Foundation, which is the largest shareholder in Mapfre SA and owns 63 percent of the money through the holding company Cartera Mapfre.

Finally, it should be mentioned that the strongest areas in which Mapfre Insurance is involved are the following structures: Life insurance, car insurance, motorcycle insurance , home insurance , as the most important.
